Present Research Work

An attempt will be made to synthesize some heterocyclic compounds containing Nitrogen mustards linked to Aurones and to study their possible cytotoxicity and anticancer activity will be evaluated.

  • Synthesis of Nitrogen mustard linked Aurones based on reported methods.
  • Purification and characterization of the structures of newly synthesized compounds by TLC, UV, FTIR ,1H NMR, 13C NMR and CHN analysis methods

The rapid assembly of molecular diversity is important goal of Synthetic Organic Chemistry and one of the key paradigms of modern drug discovery. One approach to address this challenge involves development of newer molecules in which a few reactants are combined together in a single reaction flask to generate a product incorporating most of the atoms contained in the starting materials. Diversity can be achieved either by varying each component or changing the reaction conditions. The biological activity and development of novel drugs with unique properties. The Aurones and Nitrogen mustards possess significant pharmacological and biological activities such as alkalyting, cytotoxic, antitumor, anti-inflammatory and other diseases.
