Analytics Society of India ( ASI )
SCMS, Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru is proud to be associated with the Analytics Society of India ( ASI ) and host a student chapter.
The Analytics Society of India does quality work in the domain of Analytics and this association signals SCMS’s deep interest in the study and research of business analytics.
ASI is located in the Indian Institute of Management ( IIM ), Bangalore campus.
Key Functions of ASI with Student Chapter:
- ASI will coordinate the student chapter to bridge the gap between academia and industry to develop students for analytics career.
- ASI will support the Student Chapter for organizing any of their activity under the Student Chapter’s name, by helping in providing Resource Persons or any other feasible activities.
- ASI will communicate through email all the details related to various events such as Regional Datathons /Hackathons, Masterclass, Webinars, Symposiums, Conferences and Workshops, being regularly organized by ASI.
- ASI will provide passes for selected ASI Programmes.
- ASI will provide Short and Long duration internships for deserving candidates
- ASI will facilitate instructors for analytics training at parent institute
The chapter head at SCMS is Prof. Chinmoy Kumar, PhD, Associate Professor in the area of Business Analytics.
OAKTREE
Oaktree has been in the business of creating world class kitchens and wardrobes for the aspirational Indian. They are based out of Bengaluru and will be associated with The School of Commerce and Management Studies for collaborations over consulting and student learning and development opportunities.
DATA IKU
Data IKU (GMQ) has exclusively collaborated with DSU-SCMS to train our students on their platform on end-to-end data science problems to meet the industry need of Business Analysts
EBSCO
EBSCO provides products and services to libraries of very many types around the world. Its products include EBSCONET, a complete e-resource management system, and EBSCOhost, which supplies a fee-based online research service with 375 full-text databases, a collection of 600,000-plus ebooks, subject indexes, point-of-care medical references, and an array of historical digital archives. In 2010, EBSCO introduced its EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) to institutions, which allows searches of a portfolio of journals and magazines.
FutureSkills
DSU SCMS in collaboration with FutureSkills, a joint venture between NASSCOM and Ministry of Information Technology has developed Certification based training courses on technology and professional skills to our MBA and Executive MBA students to enable them to become skilled and future ready.
IBM
DSU-SCMS has a strategic alliance with IBM University Relations to extend IBM academic programs, resource material and certification to our students.
JMP
JMP is a suite of computer programs for statistical analysis developed by JMP, a subsidiary of SAS Institute. JMP is used in applications such as Six Sigma, quality control, and engineering, design of experiments, as well as for research in science, engineering, and social sciences. The software is focused on exploratory visual analytics, where users investigate and explore data. These explorations can also be verified by hypothesis testing, data mining, or other analytic methods. In addition, discoveries made through graphical exploration can lead to a designed experiment that can be both designed and analyzed with JMP.
Surya Software
Surya Software in collaboration with DSU-SCMS has launched a Business Analyst course where the intellectual pool will be used in creating and delivering content to our students.
Tableau
Tableau (GMQ) is a data visualization tool on which our students are trained to convert raw data into impactful visuals to communicate the business insights to non- technical stakeholders.
UI Path
DSU SCMS has entered in to a academic alliance with UI Path Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tool recognized by Gartner in Gartner Magic Quadrant (GMQ) to provide global certification to our students
AIMA
The All India Management Association (AIMA) is the national apex body of the management profession in India. AIMA is a not for profit, non-lobbying organisation, working closely with Industry, Government, Academia, and students to further the cause of the management profession in India. Established in 1957, AIMA has contributed immensely to the enhancement of management capability in the country over the years. AIMA offers various services in the areas of testing, distance education, skill development & training, research, publications, executive education, and management development programmes.
AIMA BizLAB
AIMA BizLab is a first of its kind virtual lab for management students.
