BAKAASURA- Food and Cultural Fest held on 2nd May,2024.
The Bakaasura food festival was organized on 2nd May, 2024, by the UG students of School of Commerce and Management Studies, for students and faculties. It was a lifetime experience of never ending food joy with cultural events like dance, singing, poetry and music. This event was organized to foster creativity and explore authentic ethnic food across the country. Participants from different semesters from BBA and BCOM programs enthusiastically participated in this event. The event signified a collective eagerness to embrace the cultural heritage and showcasing their skills by participating and showcasing their talent. Students honed their management skills by managing their own stalls, which turned out to be the heart of the event. The primary goals for the participants were to depict their ethnicity in the form of food and costume.
Navaratri Celebration
Dayananda Sagar University, School of Commerce and Management Studies, celebrated Navaratri with great enthusiasm on the evening of 26th October 2023. The event aimed to promote cultural diversity and engage students in the spirit of this vibrant Indian festival. The celebration successfully brought together students for an evening of dancing, music, and festivities.
Independence Day celebration, on 15th August,2023
On the occasion of Independence Day, the students of Dayanada Sagar University, SCMS took part in the celebration and presented patriotic songs. The event was held in Main campus, Harohalli. The event started by Flag hosting at 8:20 AM followed by breakfast and finally the cultural programs by different School. SCMS students volunteered and participated in all the programs with great enthusiasm.
International women’s day celebrations on 8th March,2023
International women’s day was celebrated with enthusiasm at campus -1, by the students of SCMS – UG on 8th March,2023 , This day was dedicated to all women in this world , strong , determined, and dedicated, mother, sister, wife, beloved friend, and teacher. It is important to cherish her Dayananda Sagar University celebrated Women's Day to make sure every woman was celebrated and appreciated. Students and faculty wore pink outfits and a beautiful smile. It was not just people. The trees on the campus joined the celebration; they were covered with bright flowers. Students sang songs and danced on this beautiful day and spoke about the woman who inspired them the most.
Report on Kannada Rajyotsava held on November 21st, 2022
School of Commerce and Management Studies at Dayananda Sagar University celebrated the Kannada Rajyotsava event with great enthusiasm and fervour. The event commenced with a variety of cultural performances such as dance, songs, and musical instrument playing during the first half of the day. These performances were a tribute to the rich cultural heritage of Karnataka and its language, Kannada.
In the second half of the day, a procession was held by the students around the campus, bringing awareness about the importance of Kannada language and the state of Karnataka. The procession was led by a group of students who carried the state flag and sung the state song, which created an atmosphere of patriotism and pride.
The students' active participation and enthusiasm throughout the event made it a grand success. The event was a great platform for students to showcase their talents and foster a sense of unity and belongingness. The event was well-organized, and the efforts put in by the organizers were commendable. The event was attended by faculty members, staff, and students, and everyone was seen enjoying the festivities. The event showcased the glimpse of the rich cultural heritage of Karnataka and instilled a sense of pride and respect for the Kannada language among the students.
Flash mob event held on 10th February,2023
School of Commerce and Management Studies, Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru had organized Flash mob event on 10th February,2023. This event was based on sustainability theme and the dress code was retro filmy. Students in presence of professor executed the promotion of save the earth, save water and overall environmental justice and showcased their talent through Flash mob. Students expressed their love for the institution through posters. The flash mob was performed by 100 + students from all streams of Commerce and Management students at DSU. This program was attended by 1600+ audiences at campus 1. The event was appreciated by faculty and students.
