Dr.Baishali Garai

Dr.Baishali received her Ph.D in Instrumentation and Applied Physics from Indian Institute of Science. After that she continued her work as a postdoctoral researcher in IISc for some time. During her Ph.D and postdoctoral research, she closely collaborated with ISRO Satellite Centre, Bangalore. She also visited CERN(European Organization for Nuclear Research),Switzerland to have technical discussion in the area of detector simulation with scientist Dr. Rob Veenh of. After her postdoc, she joined GE Global Research as a Consultant Researcher. She has 9 years of research experience and have published several research papers in reputed international journals.
Research Interest : Her research interests include detector instrumentation for space application, mainly UV photon detectors and X-ray detectors and UV imaging detectors. She is also passionate about detector modelling and simulation using specialized software’s like ANSYS and GARFIELD.
