Dr. Rammohan Bhanumurthy

Professor

Dr. Rammohan Bhanumurthy has obtained his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science Bengaluru with specialization in Computational Mechanics and Multifunctional composites. He has an extensive experience of around 18 Years combined with Industry and academic experience.

He has worked in ADE (DRDO) as a Scientist in the Design and Development of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles & have extensively contributed to Nishanth and Lakshya. In the Automotive Industry, He was a Technical Leader in Delphi Automotive Systems PVT LTD and have worked on Numerical Modelling and Simulations associated with Electronics & Safety and was responsible for the tool development for the life estimation of Plastics broadly used in E&S.

He also worked in GE Aviation as a Staff Engineer & was responsible for Non-linear analysis of Rotors & have contributed for programs associated with GE90, GENx, CFM-56, and Passport-20 Engine lines. Moreover, He worked in NVH analysis in IFB industries and have contributed for the Noise estimation of the front loader washing machines & have carried out some experiments in the Semi-Anechoic chamber for the identification of the source of Noise.

From the academic Perspective, He worked as an Associate Professor at PES University for four years and also have a Patent on "Foot prosthetic device assembled from lattice structural elements for enhanced mechanical properties".

His research interest includes computational mechanics, multi-functional composites and Finite element analysis. He has close to 30 publications in international journals and conferences and guided more than 10 M.Tech students and 15 groups of B.Tech students. He has also contributed in book chapters with reputed publishers.
