Dr. Sinjitha S Nambiar
Dr. Sinjitha .S. Nambiar is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Biotechnology in the School of Applied and Basic Sciences, Dayanand Sagar University, Bangalore.
She finished her B.Sc in Chemistry, Botany and Zoology from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore in 2004. Then she finished her M.Sc degree in Biochemistry in 2006 from M.S. Ramaiah College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Bangalore in 2006 under Bangalore University. After this, she went on to do M.Phil in Biochemistry from University of Kerala and got her M.Phil degree in 2009. After this, she qualified CSIR-JRF-NET in Life sciences in 2010 and scored 176th rank. In 2010, she enrolled for Ph.D in Biotechnology in CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore and finished her Ph.D course in 2015. Then she went on to do her Post-Doctoral fellowship in Molecular Reproduction, Development and Genetics dept. in Indian Institute of Science (IISC), Bangalore from 2016 to 2018. For this, she obtained Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB)- National Post- doctoral fellowship in which she worked as Principal Investigator. Her Post-doctoral research involved elucidation of downstream signal transduction pathways connecting EGFR and Androgen receptor in Triple negative breast cancer. Currently, she has 8 published manuscripts- 4 National and 4 International journals.
She has expertise in HPLC, cell culture, SDS-PAGE, western blot, chromatin immunoprecipitation (CHIP) analysis, co-immunoprecipitation analysis, Semiquantitative and Real time RT-PCR, cloning, transfection.
