Dr. Suresh Ranaganathan
Dr. Suresh Ranganathan is a professor of Marketing and Retail Management, with 18 plus years of experience in teaching, research and the industry spanning diverse organizations of repute. He started his career associating himself with a start-up company in IT-Business development domain and later on earned his full time MBA and continued working in the industry. He progressed into academic profession while he spear-headed the personnel and finance departments of one of the renowned deemed to be universities in Chennai.
He has earned his Doctorate of Philosophy in Management through full time research work at Alagappa University, alongside, also functioned as a Research Associate in ICSSR funded project “A Study on the potential effects of Foreign Direct investment with specific reference to Retailers and Customers in Tamil Nadu”. He has also earned a full time Master’s degree in Philosophy of Management (M.Phil) from Sri Venkateshwara State University, Tirupathi and a Master’s degree in Foreign Trade (M.F.T) from Central University, Puduchery. He is a NET (UGC) and SET (TN) qualified professional as these are essential Lectureship examination at national level conducted by UGC and at state level conducted by Tamil Nadu State Government respectively.
He has published half a dozen of his research papers in double blind peer reviewed international journals and has also presented papers of diverse themes in national and international seminars and conferences. He has served as a guest and visiting faculty at Bharathidasan University, Hindustan Institute of Higher Technology and a few other institutions. He has enriching experience in curriculum designing, guiding research work, conducting workshops and conferences.
He is a passionate and devoted sports person with interests in badminton and cricket. He has instituted a socio-sports foundation namely “Health is Life” Association, objectivized to motivate and drive individuals towards consciousness and maintaining wellness of health which is at par essential activity in nation building.
