BCA Inauguration -AURORA-2024
On August 12, 2024, the School of Computer Applications at Dayananda Sagar University held the inauguration and orientation program for the BCA 2024 batch, named AURORA - 2024. The event featured Dr. Gururaj Karajagi, Chairman and Director of the Academy of Creative Teaching in Bengaluru, as the chief guest. Dr. Karajagi, known for his passion and visionary leadership, inspired the students with his reflections on life experiences and essential lessons for personal development.
During his address, Dr. Karajagi shared insights about great leaders and delivered a compelling message on success and perseverance. He highlighted the significance of commitment and hard work in a student’s journey, encouraging them to view challenges as opportunities for growth. His speech underscored the idea that true success is measured by one’s contributions to society. The students were deeply moved by his words and expressed their gratitude for his presence and guidance.
Monthly Event Report of May 2024 - Project Expo
The air buzzed with excitement on May 24th, 2024, as Dayananda Sagar University's School of Engineering, Department of Computer Application, hosted its annual Project Expo. The event was a testament to the ingenuity and dedication of students from the BCA and MCA departments. A vibrant tapestry of innovative projects, encompassing machine learning, AI, full-stack web development, mobile app development, and IoT applications, came to life, transforming the campus into a hub of innovation.

Overall Championship bagged by students
Our II SEMESTER BCA Students got “Overall championship” in the fest “Technical Event TECHKRITI 2024” held at St.Francis de Sales College , Electronic city on 24th May 2024 . and received a cash prize of 2500/-. We congratulate for the winners and participants.

- Second prize in Debugging was also won by our student.

MCA project expo:
The inauguration of, the MCA III Sem Project Expo, event was held on 1.12.2022, the Chairperson of Computer Applications Dr.Vasanthi Kumari P inaugurated the event. Show casing the student’s projects was the main objective of the Project Expo and thereby enhancing the project quality as per the need of industry, with this in mind DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER APPLICATIONS has initiated the concept of Project Expo for MCA III Sem students. The Chairperson addresed the gathering with very knowledgeable insights and well encouraging words that gave an exposure to students on how to learn outcomes of the projects and striving hard to reach end user and how projects should impact the society. Many students showed interest to showcase their project, the projects are from different streams and interdisciplinary fields like Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Image Processing, Machine Learning, Deep Learning. The event was fully videographed, solely by the student volunteers. The function generated a high degree of excitement in the faculty and students and was a great success. The students are motivated by the giving best 3 projects in the competition. The co-convenor of this event is Dr. Sandhya Madhuri, Assistant Professor and Class advisor, MCA III Sem.

Of course, as always BTS 2022 promises to be bigger, bolder, and better.
