The Department has well equipped laboratory with instruments including Flame photometer, UV-Visible spectrophotometer, High temperature furnace, Potentiometer etc.
Overview:
The Chemistry Department at present has 5 faculty members with expertise in the areas of organic, Xray crystallography, nanotechnology, environmental chemistry, synthetic and natural products chemistry. They participate faculty-development programs, seminars, conferences etc. to keep updated in the areas of teaching and research. The Department has well equipped laboratory with instruments including Flame photometer, UV-Visible spectrophotometer, High temperature furnace, Potentiometer etc.
The department is planning to expand its presence by introducing UG and PG courses and intensive research programs. The faculty members have 8 patents, 80 publications and 4 books to their credit.
