Dr. Kartik S. Tandel is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru. His expertise lies in aeroelasticity, smart materials, structural dynamics, and the integration of artificial intelligence in aerospace systems. His doctoral research focused on the aeroelastic analysis of high aspect ratio hybrid composite wings using deep learning, combining experimental and numerical approaches to develop adaptive, high-performance structures.
With nearly eight years of academic and research experience, Dr. Tandel has contributed to peer-reviewed publications, conferences, patents, and sponsored projects in the areas of smart composites and aerospace dynamics. He has hands-on experience with tools such as ANSYS Workbench, MSC Nastran, Fluent, CATIA, and SolidWorks, applying them extensively in both research and student mentoring.
