Mr. Aravind Srinivas
Professor of Practice in Mechanical Engineering
Aravind Srinivas obtained an Engineering degree from Bangalore University followed immediately by a Master’s Degree in Industrial Management from IIT – Madras in 1984. He joined TCS and served in various capacities such as programmer, database administrator, and group leader for 36 years covering Analysis, Design, Development and Implementation of business systems. Accountability in different roles Business Excellence, Project Management, Business Enablement, Business development and Customer Relationship Management especially in IT services, across verticals such as banking and education. The project-based IT industry has provided a service-oriented approach, where certain processes (sales, hardware sizing, estimation, initial architecture) come up and amalgamate (software delivery, skill acquisition, annual maintenance) to deliver an efficient and user focused experience. His key recent achievements in the last decade include digitizing and rolling out some key processes like Review, Leadership & Governance, Information Security in the company, leveraging ERP, with scale; Setting up an academy for a strategic growth business product, with concepts of flipped class room, content codification from subject matter experts, dissemination using various channels (including digital) and certification, assessment engine with blooms taxonomy and difficulty levels. Also, got trained externally to implement Theory of learning (Grascha Rieschmann, Myers Briggs) for teachers; and certified business excellence assessor as well as recognized at the group level four times, during the annual assessment cycle. He also established processes and drive the company towards Industry benchmark leadership on 2019-20 financial year. Mr. Aravind Srinivas has joined Dayananda Sagar University (DSU) in August 2020 as a Practice Professor in Mechanical Engineering.
