Executive MBA – February 2020
The February 2020, Executive MBA program will have students from the best of national and international organizations based out of India, participating. This management program for working professionals is held at Dayananda Sagar University’s Innovation Campus on Hosur Road on alternate weekends. The program will kick off with a socialization event on February 29,2020 where executives will participate in a Career Anchors test, which will delineate possible careers that a participant might have aptitude for.
Through this 17-months learning experience, the executive will complete four intensive trimesters, each extending to a little over four months. The programme consists of core courses, specialization courses depending on the student’s choice, and a capstone project. The ethos of the program is to craft superior managers and allow executives to make career transitions.
The core courses are a brilliant mix of theory and practice and are brought alive by professors of practice. The executive learns:
Strategy: Learn how to generate, evaluate, and choose strategic alternatives, in addition to strategy development processes, strategy implementation, and strategic change processes.
Marketing: A comprehensive introduction to the field of strategic marketing and decision-making.
Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Get to know the systems, tools and techniques used to successfully manage innovation.
Corporate Finance: We provide you with insights and practical tools that will help you make sound financial decisions.
Managerial Economics: Develop an intuitive and analytical feeling for the working of the market mechanism.
Management Accounting: Understand the concepts and tools behind management accounting, allowing you to “connect the dots” between numbers and management decisions.
Leadership: Identify challenges and improve your own performance by developing a personal leadership model.
Human Resource Management & Organization Theory: Address human resource topics from a business perspective and learn how to implement more effective HRM practices and systems in an organization.
Business Law & Ethics in Practice: Understand the role of ethics in management and the importance of both personal and corporate integrity and accountability, within a legal framework.
Global Business: We live and work in a connected world, calling for an understanding of the international eco-system.
Specialization courses deal with different management functions. The Capstone Project is an extended effort. Executives will work to solve a real-life challenge from their own companies, applying key learning from the programme. This project allows participants to progressively apply and adapt their knowledge to a real case scenario.
The curriculum is based on case studies, exposing the executive to a broad set of real-life business problems.
