Business Case Study Competition – Case In Point: IIM-L, Lucknow
Dayananda Sagar University, represented by Prof. A.Nagaraj Subbarao, Dean – CEE, was one of the finalists of the "Case-in-Point Business Case writing" contest organized by Lucknow Management Association (LMA) at MDP Centre, IIM-Lucknow.
The above contest was organized recently by Lucknow Management Association (LMA) in collaboration with NHRDN, IIM- L, Lucknow, NTPC and SBI in which numerous case studies were received from several business schools teams and corporate, including the IIM’s, the IIT’s and XLRI - Jamshedpur. A five members Jury selected 10 finalist’s teams from the case studies registered and received who were invited to present their case at IIM- L, Lucknow.
On November 12, 2018 at IIM- L, Lucknow Mr. A.K. Mathur, Senior Vice President of LMA welcomed the invited guests and finalist teams and also introduced them and their topic of presentation. The programme was attended by many senior members of LMA and some faculty members of IIM-Lucknow as well as students. The teams presented their case studies on varied subjects from mergers & acquisitions to micro finance, marketing strategies, HRD and developing future business models.
The Jury of the final session consisted of two leading entrepreneurs of Lucknow, Mr. Kiron Chopra & Mr. Vinamra Agarwal and two faculty members of IIM-Lucknow, Prof. Sanjeev Kapoor and Prof. Tripti Singh.
The Jury selected three eventual finalists and winners - team of IIM-L, Lucknow and the topic of their presentation was Vodafone-Idea Merger: A Big Time Indian Gamble, the team from IIT-Madras presented a case: Quilting Queen: Hobby Transformed into a Successful Start-up Rearing for Growth. Dayananda Sagar University was represented by Prof. (CAPT) A. Nagaraj Subbarao and his case; In High Spirits! Was in the area the cultural aspect of mergers & acquisition’s.
Certification was done by the Chief Secretary to the Government of Uttar Pradesh, Mr. Anup Chandra Pandey, who is also the President of the Lucknow Management Association.
