Dr. Kabita Kumari Satapathy

Assistant Professor

Dr. Kabita Kumari Satapathy is an Assistant Professor in Department of Chemistry, Dayananda Sagar University, Bangalore.

She has done her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry Honors (B.Sc. Hons) with distinction from Berhampur University, Odisha, India and subsequently did her Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Chemistry from Khallikote University, Odisha, India where she secured First Class First merit position.

She obtained her Ph.D. in the area of Applied Chemistry from National Institute of Technology, Raipur, C.G, India in 2013. She also holds a MBA (HR & Finance) degree from National Institute of Business Management, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

In addition to her academic achievements, she has 16+ years of teaching experience in premier Engineering Institutes (IIIT, Bhubaneshwar; O.P. Jindal University, Chhattisgarh & Sanjay Memorial Institute of Technology, Odisha) in the subject of Engineering Chemistry, Environmental Engineering and Material Science along with 7+ years of research experience. She has received numerous Letter of Appreciation for her Effective Teaching skill in Chemistry and Environmental Engineering from O.P.Jindal University, Chhattisgarh, India.

She also won the Young Scientist Award from CHHATTISGARH COUNCIL OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY -2016, India for her research excellence.

She has published 15 Research papers in various International Journals (such as Royal Society of Chemistry, Wiley VCH and so on) and have presented 22 National / International Conference papers. She is a Life member of Eight Professional societies such as Luminescence Society of India (LSI), Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI), and Association of Chemistry Teachers (ACT) and has been associated as a reviewer / editorial board member for various International Bodies like Elsevier, Wiley VCH etc.

Her current research interests are in the field of synthesis and Luminescence characterization of Inorganic compounds, Materials chemistry, Bioluminescence etc.
