Ms. Amrita Kundu
Assistant Professor
Ms. Amrita Kundu is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) at the School of Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University. She pursued her Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. She has applied deep learning techniques to medical image datasets and explored quantum machine learning approaches using structured data, focusing on cancer diagnosis and classification.
Ms. Kundu has hands-on experience in developing hybrid and ensemble deep learning models using architectures such as EfficientNet, ResNet, and Xception, CNN. Her work integrates handcrafted features like color histograms and Local Binary Patterns (LBP) to enhance model performance.
In addition to classical approaches, she is actively engaged in quantum machine learning research, applying parameterized quantum circuits (PQC)and variational quantum classifiers (VQCs) using frameworks like TensorFlow Quantum and PennyLane for biomedical data analysis.
Ms. Kundu has worked extensively on datasets such as oral cancer, Breast Cancer, Skin Cancer and histopathologic cancer detection, focusing on optimizing model accuracy, efficiency, and interpretability. Her technical expertise includes Python, TensorFlow, Keras, Google Colab, and GPU-based training environments. Her broader research interests include cancer image classification, ensemble deep learning models, quantum neural networks, feature engineering, and explainable AI.
