Mr. Anubrata Singharoy

Assistant Professor

Mr. Anubrata Singharoy has recently joined as an Assistant Professor in Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) at the School of Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University. He brings a unique blend of mathematical rigor and modern AI innovation, holding a B.Sc. in Mathematics (Honours) from The University of Burdwan, an M.Sc. in Mathematics from Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational & Research Institute, and an M.Tech. in Data Science from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad.

He has demonstrated exceptional academic excellence throughout his career. He has been honored with the Department Gold Medal for Outstanding Academic Performance and Excellence in Mathematics from RKMVERI and has qualified for several prestigious national examinations including CSIR NET JRF (All India Rank: 121), GATE Mathematics (All India Rank: 215), and IIT JAM (All India Rank: 223 in 2019, 367 in 2020).

His research interests span the fascinating intersection of mathematics and modern AI/ML applications, including Sparse Modeling, Matrix Estimation, Computational Mathematics, Data Science Applications in Mathematical Modeling, and Cryptographic Algorithms. His research foundation includes a comprehensive Master's thesis on coherence reduction in sparse modeling using Hadamard Transform approaches under the supervision of Prof. S. Lakshmivarahan from the University of Oklahoma. He has also contributed on matrix estimation techniques through matrix-vector-multiplication at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. He was selected to attend the prestigious IEEE International Conference on Acoustics,Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP) 2025 as an IISC-ICASSP Fellowship Awardee.
