Anurag Gupta
Assistant Professor
Anurag Gupta is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Engineering, at Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru. His academic and research interests lie at the intersection of Computer vision, deep learning, Machine Learning and technology-driven solutions for real-world challenges.
He holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Delhi (2025), where his research centred on leveraging deep learning and attention mechanisms for agricultural intelligence. His postgraduate thesis, titled “Multi-Crop Disease Prediction Using Attention-Augmented Deep Learning: A DenseNet121-CBAM Model,” focused on improving the accuracy and interpretability of plant disease detection across multiple crop types. He earned his Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from Assam Engineering College, graduating with a strong foundation in both theoretical and applied computer science.
Prior to his postgraduate studies, Anurag gained nearly two years of professional experience at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), where he was involved in software development and real-world problem-solving in a retail domain project.
He has a strong grasp of both the theoretical and practical sides of computer science, backed by coursework in C++, Data Structures, Database Management System, Machine Learning and Computer Vision. He is passionate about research-based learning and aims to build AI-driven solutions that can solve real-life problems, especially in the areas of smart farming and sustainable technology, by working across different fields.
