Assistant Professor

Dr. P M G B Asdaque was born on June 16, 1989. He received his Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering in 2011 from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad, completed his M. Tech (Masters in Technology) from NIT Rourkela, Odisha, in 2014 with specialization in Machine Design & Analysis, (Mechanical Engineering). He was awarded MHRD fellowship, GoI for pursuing M Tech at NIT Rourkela. In 2014 he joined as a research project assistant in the Department of Applied Mechanics, IIT-Delhi. Later, he was awarded PhD degree from IIT-Delhi for pursuing doctoral studies in the domain of Solid Mechanics. He was awarded SRF from CSIR-India. He was also awarded with competitive Research Excellence Travel Award from IRD-IIT Delhi. He has total of 9 years of experience in teaching and research. Some of his areas of interest are solid mechanics, computational methods, dielectric elastomers, AFM, structural analysis, smart materials (piezoelectric), energy harvesting, soft robotics, dynamics, geometrically exact beam analysis, etc. He has presented his work at various reputed national and international conferences. He was also awarded Research Scholar Travel Award from IIT Delhi to present his work in foreign reputed conferences at Rome and Nanjing. He has published research works in various reputed journals.
