Associate Professor

Dr. BM Ashwin Desai is an alumnus of IIT Madras, where he secured his Ph.D. and M.S. with a perfect CGPA of 10/10 in 2019, following his outstanding undergraduate performance in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the PES Institute of Technology, Bangalore, graduating in 2016 with the perfect CGPA of 10/10.

Recognized for his academic brilliance with a gold medal and the titles of "First Rank" and "Best Outgoing Student" for the 2012-2016 B.E. batch, Dr. Desai has consistently set a benchmark for excellence. His postdoctoral tenure at Khalifa University, UAE (2019-2022), has further cemented his reputation as a prolific researcher with numerous journal articles, conference papers, and invited talks to his name.

Currently, Dr. Desai is shaping minds as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Dayananda Sagar University-Bengaluru. He co-leads along with Dr. Pronama Biswas (SBAS) an innovative and interdisciplinary research lab 'SynTech Bio Solutions', managing a significant SERB-DST project alongside seed grant projects. His research interests are at the forefront of innovation, focusing on sustainable nanotechnology applications, nano-vehicles for medical interventions, AI-driven drug discovery, molecular docking simulations and applications of High-Voltage.
