Assistant Professor
Mr. Divyanshu Verma is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru. He is dedicated to teaching, mentoring students, and contributing to academic activities in the fields of Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning.
He is currently completing an Integrated Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Mathematics and Computing from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala. His academic training has provided him with a strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, computational techniques, data analytics, and intelligent systems, enabling him to effectively connect theoretical concepts with real-world applications.
Prior to joining Dayananda Sagar University, he worked as a Mathematics Subject Matter Expert (SME) at Physics Wallah (PW), one of India's leading EdTech platforms. In this role, he assisted thousands of students in understanding mathematical concepts, problem-solving techniques, and exam-oriented strategies. This experience strengthened his teaching, communication, and mentoring abilities while fostering a student-centred approach to learning.
His areas of expertise include Programming, Applied Mathematics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Probability and Statistics, Database Management Systems, Theory of Computation, Graph Theory, Cryptography, and Operations Research. He is proficient in Python, C++, SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and modern data analysis tools.
Mr. Verma has actively worked on projects involving machine learning and intelligent systems. His notable work includes the development of a Machine Learning-based Rainfall Forecasting and Early Warning System for predictive analysis of weather patterns and disaster preparedness. He has also developed an AI-powered Virtual Assistant incorporating Natural Language Processing techniques for intelligent human-computer interaction.
His research interests include Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Predictive Modelling, Educational Technology, and Applied Mathematics. He is passionate about creating an engaging learning environment that encourages innovation, critical thinking, and problem-solving among students.
