Dr. Bahubali Shiragapur

Professor

Dr. Bahubali Shiragapur is a Professor in School of Engineering, AI & ML department with 23 years of experience. His areas of interest include Machine Learning, Quantum Computing, Wireless Communication, Coding Theory, robotics, Image Processing, Signal Processing, and IoT. He has published more than 40 articles in reputed national and international peer-reviewed journals, filed three Indian patents, design patents, copyrights, and authored a book and three book chapters with CRC Press. Dr. Bahubali has successfully completed three R&D-funded projects and has guided 50 + undergraduate and seven postgraduate projects. One of his PhD students has defended thesis (2024), while he is currently supervising three others (two of whom are writing their theses). He has also submitted research proposals to various DST funding agencies, with two under review.

Dr.Bahubali previously served as the Director of the School of Computer Science, Engineering & Applications at D Y Patil International University, Akurdi, Pune, and has also been the Head of ECE, Innovation Cell officer, Dean R&D and Head of TBI at Ajeenkya DY Patil School of Engineering, Pune. He has mentored students in ABU ROBOCON-India and IRO Robotic Competitions. Additionally, he is a reviewer for several prestigious journals including Springer, IEEE, Direct Science, IEETE, IET, and IETE. He is having life membership of ISTE and Society of Digital Information and Wireless Communications-SDIWC.
