Prof. Basavaraj N Hiremath earned his PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University Belagavi and a master’s in computer cognition technology from the Department of studies in computer science, University of Mysore, Mysore. Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Mysore.
Dr Basavaraj N Hiremath was with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the research centre of J S S Academy of Technical Education, Bengaluru as a full-time research scholar.
He has worked for 5 years in research on sentic computing and computational genomics of NextGen sequencing, closely associated with the Centre of Excellence in Computational Genomics @ various centres. He spent two years as a solution architect in the Research & Development of business intelligence and data visualization labs at ITC Infotech (India) Limited, was involved in projects of data analytics, data visualization and data wrangling.
He has worked on projects at client sites as lead consultant and Principal consultant roles in Europe, Singapore, the Middle East and the USA, worked for the largest airline of NORDIC countries in Finland and at the headquarters of the largest logistics organisation of Europe in Prague, the Czech Republic as a solutions architect.
He has an overall experience of sixteen years working in the information technology industry in various domains of Banking, Retail, FMCG and Hospitality. He is a passionate teacher having teaching experience in cross-domain courses of medical statistics in healthcare research.
He has publications on research works in peer-reviewed international journals of the web of science, in Q1 and Q2 journals. Titled in sentic computing of voice, video, text analytics and computational genomics in Phylogenetic analysis of nCOV 19 in an early phase of Pandemic in INDIA. He holds certification in journal citation reports from Clarivate.
