Dr. Devi Priya V S is an accomplished academician with over 13 years of experience in teaching and research. She holds a B.Tech in Information Technology from Kerala university and earned her postgraduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University in 2010, where she was a rank holder. She demonstrated a strong foundation in advanced security concepts as a Ph.D. holder from VIT-AP University (2024) with contributions to cutting-edge security technologies through co-authored multiple patents and a proven ability to effectively communicate and educate on complex security topics.

Dr Devi Priya V S has extensive experience with security tools like SIEM, OpenVAS, Splunk, Wireshark, Metasploit, and ELK, alongside expertise in log management, threat analysis, and incident response. She is the Co-PI for the project entitled “Saila:FIDO enabled smart-phone based passwordless authentication system to protect HID injection” from the Center for Hardware Security Entrepreneurship Research and Development(C-HERD), an initiative by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology(MeitY) and led by Data Security Council of India(DSCI) in partnership with IIT khargpur and IIT Madras.

She co-designed an indigenous honeypot deployment testbed, including the creation and public release of a comprehensive honeypot dataset. This dataset, available on Kaggle website. She holds the IBM Cybersecurity Practitioner Instructor Certificate, awarded by the IBM Skills Academy in April 2021.

She was the Expert Committee Member [2021] [Evaluator] Toycathon 2021- A Hackathon to crowdsource innovative ideas for the Toys and Games based on Bharatiya history, civilization, ethos, and culture Organized by Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell, Government of India. She delivered various invited lectures - “Session on Docker” on 21 day International FDP on "Data Science Tools" by SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Tiruchirapalli Campus,2023; 2nd International Conference on Information Security and Computer Technology (ICICSCT 2021) conducted by the University of Technology Mara,(UiTM MARA), Malaysia, July 2021

She has worked in various institutions- Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology, Kerala (July 2010-August 2021) and Velagapudi Ramakrishna Siddhartha Engineering College, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh (May 2024- Dec 2024). She served as the Assistant Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, where she played a pivotal role in curriculum development for the B.Tech program under the institution's autonomous status. Dr. Devi Priya V S is a lifetime member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). She published various papers in different National and International Journal and Conferences
