Associate Professor
Dr. S. Jeeva is an accomplished academician and researcher with over a decade of experience in computer science, specializing in video analytics, artificial intelligence, and IoT-based solutions. He holds a Ph.D. in Computing Sciences and Engineering from VIT University, Chennai, where his research focused on motion and pedestrian detection in video surveillance systems. He also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at University Malaysia Kelantan, Malaysia, advancing work on liver tumor segmentation using visual transformers.
Dr. Jeeva has served in various teaching roles, including Assistant Professor positions at Jain University (Bangalore), SRM Institute of Science and Technology (Chennai), Brilliant Institute of Engineering and Technology (Hyderabad), VIT(Chennai) and Anna University(Tindivanam). His academic contributions are marked by innovation in digital teaching tools and mentorship. His students have secured global internships and launched startups under his guidance.
He is a prolific researcher with over 30 Scopus and SCI-indexed journal publications and book chapters, contributing significantly to domains like healthcare AI, smart agriculture, cybersecurity, and cognitive IoT. Dr. Jeeva holds multiple Indian patents, including designs for healthcare and surveillance devices.
He has led consultancy projects with Samsung Prism and SRM SIIC, and actively participated in research collaborations, including a funded visit to Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, China. His expertise spans programming (C, Python, Java), open-source tools, machine learning platforms, and IoT systems.
A reviewer for reputed journals like Computational Intelligence and Wireless Networks, Dr. Jeeva is also affiliated with various professional bodies such as IAENG, IFERP, and CSTA.
