Dr. Meenakshi Malhotra

Associate Professor

Dr. Meenakshi Malhotra is working as Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering in Dayananda Sagar University, and has earned her PhD degree from VTU in Jan 2018. Her research work proposed a neurocognitive knowledge network model (NCKM), in the domain of Cognitive Architecture (AI). This Ph.D. thesis is awarded "Special Mention of the Jury", by The BITES Best PhD Thesis Evaluation Committee for the Year 2018. She pursued her M.S. in Software systems from BITS Pilani in 2005 and B.Tech from NIT Kurukshetra in 1999. She had successfully completed the proficience course- Product Prototyping in IoT at CCE-IISc, Bangalore: grade ‘A’ in 2019. She has 14 years of professional experience that spread across the IT industry, research and academics. She started her professional career with Satyam Computer Services limited (now Tech Mahindra) and after 5ys in IT she has moved into academics and now has 9 years of teaching experience She has 9 international publications that include Elsevier publication in Cognitive System Research and Biologically Inspired Cognitive architecture. She has been part of the review committee for the Springer Conference in 2017, Cognitive Systems Research, Elsevier in 2018 and Journal of Integrative Neuroscience in 2019 and Artificial Intelligence Review (AIRE) 2021. She also has a Patent published in her name. She has coordinated various departmental and institute levels activities that include organizing workshops/FDP/Technical talks, NAAC & NBA accreditation. Her areas of interest include Machine Learning, NeuroCognitive Knowledge Systems, Artificial Intelligence, and Object-Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD) .
