Dr. J.S. Nixon currently working as a Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, SoE at DSU. He has done his Ph.D. with a specialization in Wireless Sensor Network [WSN] Security in 2012. His academic prowess is underscored by a remarkable collection of 9 International professional certifications, including 7 from Microsoft, 1 from Cisco CCNA and 1 in IoT (Internet-of-Things), attesting to his comprehensive skill set in various domains of Computer Science. Dr. Nixon has accumulated over 20 + years of teaching and research experience across esteemed national and international institutions / universities, complemented by nearly 5 years of industry exposure. His expertise spans a wide range of Computer Science areas including Artificial Intelligence, AR-VR, Machine Learning, Cyber Security, Cryptography and Network Security, Steganography, Quantum Computing, ADBMS, UWSN, Li-Fi, Programming, Web Technologies…etc. He is dedicated to fostering academic excellence and has a proven track record in curriculum development, course design and mentoring students at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels.
He has authored a well-received book titled "Ad-Hoc Networks, Implementation & Study Guide" with another publication currently in progress. He has published notable number of research papers in peer-reviewed / SCI / Scopus indexed and ranked in Q1 international journals. His expertise is sought after globally, as he has delivered invited talks on advanced topics in numerous institutions, both nationally and internationally. In addition to his academic endeavors, Dr. Nixon has held various administrative roles, including Director, Dean, Head of Department, Coordinator, Chairperson and member of various committees.
A lifelong learner, Dr. Nixon remains actively engaged in professional development and is an esteemed member of reputable professional bodies such as the Computer Society of India (CSI), Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Microsoft Community (MSC) and Cryptology Research Society of India (CRSI), where he contributes to the advancement of his field and fosters collaboration among peers.
