Dr. Pavithra A J
Assistant Professor
Dr. Pavithra has completed her Ph. D. in Department of Biological Sciences, National University of Singapore. She has worked on a rare species of mangrove plants. Though she started her basic research by identifying specific stress-tolerant genes, later she aimed at investigating those genes for an applicative purpose. She is interested in research, writing is one of her key interests. She has published her research work in reputed international journals. Even before her Ph. D. journey, she has been actively participating in project proposals and biomolecular conferences during her bachelor's and master's period. Together with research and writing experience, she has also been involved in teaching undergraduate students in Singapore. She has been to field trips with her students to introduce them to mangrove swamps, mushroom farms and aeroponic cultivation lands. She has taken indoor laboratory classes to explain specimens and models as well. She has assessed students based on their presence and involvement in class and examination performance. Based on her performance in teaching, she received an opportunity to be involved in deciding module curriculum for undergraduate students.
She is a results-driven educator and trainer dedicated to simplifying complex concepts and making learning accessible to students of all ages. With experience teaching applied biology subjects such as genetics, biochemistry, and biotechnology to undergraduate and postgraduate students at Bangalore University, she possess a strong foundation in academic instruction.
