Assistant Professor - English Language & Literature

Dr. Rochna Roy is an Author & Assistant professor in the Department of Basic Sciences at Dayananda Sagar University. She received her Master's Degree from Dr. Hari Singh Gour Central University, Madhya Pradesh, India, followed by her Ph.D. degree in English Literature from Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur, India. She’s an insightful educator and creative storyteller driven by a mission to equip students with the linguistic precision and soft skills necessary for global success. Her professional philosophy is based on a logical and analytical way of thinking, as well as a deep understanding of the students' growth process on a spiritual and emotional level. She teaches Technical English, English Literature, Media Studies, Communication and Personality Development courses for B.Tech and M.Tech (International) students at Dayananda Sagar University, India's first AI-first university.

Her research interests are in English Language Teaching (ELT), Media Studies, British Literature, American Literature, Indian Writing in English and Critical Theories.
