Dr. Rupam Bhagawati

Dr Rupam Bhagawati is an accomplished academic and researcher in the field of Computer Science and Engineering, specializing in Quantum Computing, Information Retrieval, and Machine Learning. He earned his PhD from Presidency University, Bangalore, with a dissertation titled “Enhancing Quantum-Based Clustering and Feature Selection for Information Ranking in Information Retrieval Systems.” His academic journey includes a B.Tech. in Information Technology from Lovely Professional University, Punjab, and an M.Tech. in Information Technology from Assam University, Silchar.
With extensive teaching and research experience across reputed institutions, Dr Rupam Bhagawati currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru. His prior academic appointments include faculty positions at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Chandigarh Engineering College, Mohali, Punjab, Presidency University, Bangalore, and The Assam Kaziranga University, Jorhat, where he also held the position of Head of Department.
Dr Bhagawati’s research contributions span over a dozen peer-reviewed journal publications, conference papers, book chapters, and authored books in areas bridging quantum algorithms, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. His intellectual property portfolio includes two published patents in predictive maintenance and cybersecurity. He is also an IEEE Associate Member and a Life Member of both the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and the Cryptology Research Society of India (CRSI).
Dedicated to innovation and interdisciplinary advancement, Dr Bhagawati’s current research focuses on integrating quantum-inspired computing models with AI-driven data analytics to enhance performance, scalability, and intelligence in modern information systems.
