Dr. Shahin Fatima

Associate Professor

Dr. Shahin Fatima is an academician and researcher in Computer Science and Engineering with strong expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Data Analytics and Deep Learning. She is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Dayananda Sagar University.

She completed her Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering in 2021. She also earned her M.Tech. and B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering. Dr. Fatima has over 13 years of teaching and research experience, having served in reputed institutions including Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation and Babu Banarasi Das Northern India Institute of Technology. Her teaching portfolio includes subjects such as Database Management Systems, Data Analytics & Visualization, AI and Machine Learning.

Her research contributions include publications in high-impact international journals. Her recent research work focuses on Explainable AI, Smart Healthcare Systems, Federated Learning, Deep Learning for Medical Imaging, Natural Language Processing, Quantum Cryptography, and Secure Cloud Computing. Dr. Fatima has published many research papers in high-impact SCI, SCIE, ESCI, and Scopus-indexed journals and international conferences. Her recent work focuses on AI-driven healthcare systems, medical image analysis, federated learning, blockchain-enabled healthcare analytics, and intelligent diagnostic frameworks.

Dr. Fatima has also contributed to innovation through patents in areas such as skin disease detection using deep learning, AI-enabled healthcare systems, radiology-based NLP systems, and ensemble image classification frameworks. She is an active member of Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

She is also MongoDB Certified as Mongo DB Associate Developer and NVIDIA in Building RAG Agents with LLMs. Her technical expertise includes Python, Machine Learning, TensorFlow, Data Mining, Cloud Computing, Data Visualization, MongoDB, AWS, and AI-driven analytics.
