Professor of Practice

Dr. Gangadharaiah S. L. serves as Professor of Practice in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, School of Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University.

Dr. Gangadharaiah S. L. is a VLSI industry professional with over 27 years of experience spanning industrial R&D, semiconductor project execution, teaching and advanced technical mentoring. He currently serves as Principal Scientist at Angstromers Engineers India Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, and works as a Consultant to multiple deep-tech organizations, contributing directly to ASIC, FPGA, and RISC-V processor development projects.

He has strong hands-on expertise in RTL design, UVM-based verification, ASIC/FPGA design flows, and VLSI signal processing, with practical exposure to advanced semiconductor technology nodes down to 3 nm. His project experience includes RISC-V processor architectures, FPGA prototyping, and high-performance DSP architectures, utilizing industry-standard Synopsys and Cadence EDA tools across design, verification, timing, power analysis, and sign-off flows.

Dr. Gangadharaiah holds a Ph.D. in VLSI from VTU, Belagavi, an M.Tech from NITK Surathkal, and a B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from AIT Chikmagalur. His professional journey includes roles such as Design Verification Manager, Senior Instructor at Synopsys, Assistant Professor at MSRIT Bangalore, and Visiting Faculty at UVCE Bangalore, MAHE Manipal, and BITS Pilani.

His work is strongly focused on executing industry-relevant VLSI projects, translating research outcomes into deployable silicon solutions, and bridging academic knowledge with real-world semiconductor product development, including emerging areas in AI-assisted hardware systems and next-generation verification methodologies.
