Dr. Hemachandra Reddy K is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Technology with over 17 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership. He holds a Ph.D. from JNTUA, Anantapur, with postgraduate and undergraduate degrees from JNTUA, Anantapur and JNTUH, Hyderabad, respectively. He has also completed a Postgraduate program in Data Science and Quantum Computing from ABV–IIITM Gwalior, which significantly strengthened his expertise in machine learning, data-driven modeling, and quantum computing frameworks. His current research focuses on the application of Artificial Intelligence, optimization techniques, predictive analytics, and quantum-inspired methods to smart grids, microgrids, energy forecasting, and intelligent decision-making systems.
Dr. Reddy has published extensively in peer reviewed journals and Scopus/Web of Science–indexed conferences, with research contributions in AI-based energy management, hybrid optimization, emission-aware energy planning, and intelligent control networks. As an educator, he teaches Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Python for Machine Learning, emphasizing practical problem-solving, real-world datasets, simulation tools, and interdisciplinary thinking.
He is actively involved in curriculum development, NBA and NAAC accreditation, faculty development programs, and academic governance, and regularly delivers expert lectures and workshops on Machine Learning for Smart Grid Applications, Generative AI, IoT, and emerging technologies. Proficient in Python, MATLAB/Simulink, Qiskit, and optimization platforms, he is committed to preparing future-ready engineers and researchers and advancing AI-enabled, data-centric, and quantum-aware approaches for sustainable and intelligent engineering systems.
