Manas Singha
Assistant Professor
Manas Singha is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru. He holds an M.Tech in Computing and Mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad (under the Department of Computer Science and Engineering), along with an M.Sc and B.Sc (Hons) in Mathematics from Vidyasagar University. His academic background merges strong mathematical foundations with computational thinking.
His research interests lie at the intersection of computer science and mathematics, with a focus on machine learning, computational modeling, and data-driven approaches to solving real-world problems in science and engineering. He has developed deep learning-based frameworks, especially using Variational Autoencoders (VAEs), for inverse modeling applications such as predicting Young’s modulus in elasticity and estimating subsurface resistivity using geosteering data.
