Mohith Kumar is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science, School of Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru. He completed his Integrated M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialization in Data Science from the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore.
He is proficient in Python, SQL, PySpark, Spark Optimization, and cloud management systems. His academic expertise spans Operating Systems, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Mining, Big Data Analytics, Data Warehousing, Natural Language Processing, Applied Cryptography, Network Security, and Blockchain Systems. His research interests focus on AI-driven systems, secure distributed computing, and large-scale data engineering.
He developed a Blockchain-Driven Smart Contract Framework for Supply Chain Traceability and Cost Optimization, enabling automated decentralized logistics with improved transparency. He also contributed to an IEEE paper on Fine-Grained Access Control in Cloud Systems, where he optimized cryptographic algorithms for reduced gas consumption and enhanced performance.
His additional work includes building medical lung X-ray classification systems using deep learning for detecting Normal, and Pneumonia cases, designing disease prediction applications, and applying advanced mathematical modeling techniques to reduce convergence rates in high‑latency computing environments.
In industry, he completed a 10‑month Data Engineering internship at SpurTree Technologies, where he built scalable ETL pipelines, automated data workflows, integrated REST APIs, and worked closely with cross‑functional teams using Agile methodologies.
