Prof. Mousumi Kundu
Assistant Professor
Ms. Mousumi Kundu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) at the School of Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru, India. She earned her M.Tech. in Quantum Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur, where she was awarded the Silver Medal for securing the first rank in the Department of Quantum Technology. Prior to this, she completed her M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Calcutta and her B.Sc. in Mathematics from Bethune College, University of Calcutta. Ms. Kundu has gained valuable research and industry experience through internships at QClairvoyance Quantum Labs Pvt. Ltd. and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Kolkata. Her work has focused on quantum phase estimation techniques, continuous-variable quantum key distribution (CV-QKD), quantum steering, entanglement, and the implementation of quantum cryptographic protocols such as BB84 and E91.
Her academic achievements include the INSPIRE Scholarship, the Dr. P. K. Ghosh Memorial Award from the Calcutta Mathematical Society for securing the first position in M.Sc. Applied Mathematics, the QBronze-Qiskit Certification through the Womanium & WISER Quantum Program 2025, and the Quantum Excellence Badge from the Qiskit Global Summer School 2025. Her research interests include quantum algorithms, quantum error correction, quantum key distribution, quantum optimization, and emerging applications of quantum computing and quantum information science.
