The School of Commerce and Management Studies, DayanandaSagar University, had organized and hosted the first National Student's Conference on “Innovations in Business Management” for Commerce and Management students on 13th of April, 2018 in association with Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS). The theme for the conference was “Innovation in Business Management”. Shri.Ghaliswamy, Secretary, DayanandaSagar Group of Institutions, emphasized that sharing of knowledge and learning was very imperative for students. He insisted on innovation which is rather critical for continuous process and success. Our Chief Guest, Dr.A.N.N.Murthy, Vice-Chancellor, DayanandaSagar University stressed that students should have innovative instinct which has to be developed to carve a niche for themselves in the market. He stated that transforming of knowledge into a product is essential for improving the effectiveness of any organization. Our Guest of Honour, Dr. C.Manohar, Chairman – AIMS, expressed that positive vibration should be felt by the students by being innovative.

The plenary session commenced with Dr. PavanSoni, the innovation evangelist enthralled the students with his motivational speech emphasizing on three distinct points which was on choosing a career, not just a job but concentrate on entrepreneurship and use technology wisely.

Altogether, 51 papers were presented by 67 authors and 150 students participated in the Conference from various Colleges and Universities in the Conference throughout the day in difference technical session Conference Halls covering different domains of the management.

Our Guest of Honor for the Valedictory was Prof. Sukhesh Kumar, Visiting Faculty of prestigious institutions, delivered his keynote address. In his address he mentioned how important it is to bring in innovation in whatever activity we do. He stressed that innovation is crucial to the continuing success of any business organization. The Best Paper awards were announced in the valedictory session. The top five awards were bagged by CMS Business School - Jain University, REVA University and DayanandaSagar University respectively.
