The International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) is the largest computer programming contest in the world. The ICPC is an activity that provides college students with an opportunity to demonstrate and sharpen their problem-solving and computing skills. The contest is considered to be the “Olympics of Computer Programming”. The ICPC Asia Regional Contests invite Asian students to meet, establish friendships and promote fair competition in programming.
The following are the facts about our final placement at the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) India Regional Finals at Kolkota:
- 1. We placed ahead of the Indian Institute of Science
- 2 . We placed ahead of the following IITs: IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Indore, IIT Jodhpur, IIT Guwahati
- 3. We placed ahead of the following IIITs: IIIT Bhubhaneshwar, IIIT, Naya Raipur, IIIT Surat
- 4. We placed ahead of : SRM Institute of Science and Technology , PES University , Shiv Nadar University
A total of 160 teams were shortlisted from all over India to take part at Kolkota Onsite, one of the four sites where the India regional finals was held. We placed in the top 100 at Kolkota.
