Dr Parveez Shariff B G
Assistant Professor
Dr. Parveez Shariff B G, Senior Member IEEE, Member of WAMS Society, and Life Member ISTE, is currently working as a Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru, India. He completed his PhD in the Department of ECE, Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, India, in 2025, and his M.Tech in Digital Electronics and Communication Systems from Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan, and BE in Telecommunication Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering, Shimoga, under Visveswaraya Technological University, India, in 2009 and 2007, respectively.
His expertise and research area are in the fields of sub-6 GHz, millimeter-wave, and Terahertz array and MIMO antennas for 5G and 6G wireless applications. He also works on metamaterial structures to improve the antenna directivity and multifunctional metasurfaces. He has published 25 articles in reputable international journals and 10 articles in premier international conferences, including ITC Egypt 2023, and has published 06 patents.
To his credit, he has received several accolades during his PhD and post PhD, such as (i) Kundapur Mohan and Lata Bhandarkers’ meritorious scholarship award for exceptional work in PhD in Apr 2025, (ii) IEEE Bangalore Section travel grant, (iii) Second Prize in 3-minute Thesis presentation conducted by IEEE Microwave World Leaders Conclave (IMWLC), Sept 2025, (iv) Special recognition award for Journal publication from IEEE AP/MTT-S Joint chapter Bangalore Section on Jan 2026, (v) Exceptional reviewer award of 2025 by IEEE Access in Jun 2026.
He is an active researcher and academician with 14 years of teaching experience across various organizations and has worked at different levels.
He is a reviewer for many reputable journals, including IEEE Access, IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation, International Journal of Numerical Modeling, Engineering Technology & Applied Science Research, and many others.
