Mr. Prajwal Lamsal is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) at Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru. He completed his M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore and earned his B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore. He is passionate about teaching, research, and developing innovative AI-driven solutions to address real-world challenges.
His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), Computer Vision, Information Retrieval, Natural Language Processing, and Intelligent Data-Driven Systems. He is particularly interested in building scalable AI systems that bridge the gap between academic research and practical applications across various domains.
Mr. Lamsal has worked on several advanced AI and machine learning projects, including an Enterprise Document Question-Answering System based on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embedding-based retrieval, and vector databases for intelligent knowledge discovery. His research experience also includes Zero-Shot Machine Unlearning for privacy-preserving AI, object localization in microscopy images using computer vision techniques, and real-time vehicle detection using custom-trained YOLOv8 models.
He presented the research paper “Image Understanding of GUI Widgets and Test Reuse” at the International Conference on Intelligent Computing, Communication, Security and Networks (ICPCSN). With expertise in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI, Computer Vision, and AI-powered information retrieval systems, he is committed to fostering innovation, mentoring students, and contributing to advancements in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
