Dr. Prateek Verma

Associate Professor

Dr. Prateek Verma is currently serving as an Associate Professor in Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) at the School of Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University. He holds a B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Govind Ballabh Pant Engineering College Pauri Garhwal Uttarakhand, India, M.Tech. and Ph.D. in Geomatics Engineering from IIT Roorkee, Roorkee, India. He has also completed two years of Post Doc from IIT Bombay. With over six years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Prateek has demonstrated a strong commitment to academic and research excellence. He was awarded with DAAD IIT-TU9 Masters Sandwich Scholarship by German Government to pursue his Masters Research in Leibniz University Hannover Germany for a period of 7 months in 2012. Dr. Prateek has a strong research profile with more than 10 papers in International Journals (SCI/Scopus) along with 50+ papers in International Conferences indexed in Scopus. His Scopus h-index is 6 with 108 citations and google scholar h-index is 7 along with 167 citations respectively.

In addition to his academic and research pursuits, Dr. Prateek has guided several students projects working in the field of Machine Learning, IoT, Healthcare and agriculture resulting in publications at different levels. He has also been awarded with Best Teacher Award two times in 2023 and 2024 respectively in his previous organization.
