Prof. Pratishruti Baruah

Assistant Professor

Prof. Pratishruti Baruah is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI & ML) at the School of Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru. She completed her Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Artificial Intelligence from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala. During her postgraduate studies, she also gained valuable teaching experience, strengthening her passion for academic excellence and student mentorship.

Her research interests include Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Image Processing, and Cross-Domain Image Classification, with a focus on developing robust deep learning models for domain adaptation and medical and agricultural image analysis. Prof. Baruah has completed a Research Training Internship in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with DST & CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, where she gained practical exposure to scientific computing, machine learning methodologies, and numerical analysis. She is proficient in Python, C++, and SQL, and has hands-on experience with leading AI and data science frameworks including PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV, and Scikit-learn.

As an educator and researcher, she is passionate about fostering curiosity, innovation, and analytical thinking among students. She strives to bridge cutting-edge AI research with practical applications, empowering students to develop intelligent solutions for complex real-world problems.
