Praveen Gaonkar is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science, School of Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru. He completed his M.Tech in Computer Science and Information Security from Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur, and his B.E. in Computer Engineering from Goa College of Engineering, Ponda-Goa.

He has good experience with programming languages like C, C++, Java, and Android. He has a sound knowledge of Computer Networks, Blockchain Technologies, Operating Systems, programming paradigms, and Web Technologies—incorporating theory with practicality.

Throughout his M.Tech, his research was in Blockchain Technology, in which he had conceived a smart contract and a decentralized application (DApp)-based consortium blockchain framework for facilitating privacy-preserving Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) communications. His work speaks volumes of his intent towards making contributions to secure and smart transport systems using novel technologies.

He also has 2 years of industry experience in the IT sector, having worked as a Software Engineer. This background experience has given him keen insights into software development and practical implementation of innovative technologies.
