Dr. Rashmita sahoo
Assistant Professor
Dr. Rashmita sahoo received her M.Tech degree in image and signal processing from Jadavpur University, Kolkata in 2014 and Ph.D. in the domain of underwater optical wireless communication in 2023 from IIT Madras, India. She received her B.Tech degree in Electronics Communication Engineering from Biju Patnaik University, Odisha in 2008. Her major research interest includes experimental and theoretical study of the inherent optical properties (absorption, attenuation and scattering) of the atmosphere and ocean. During her Ph.D. she was working in multiple projects of DRDO and NAVY. Her research is also focused on the light propagation from atmosphere to ocean across the air-water boundary. Her current research interest includes detection and estimation of the bioluminescence in the open ocean and coastal waters and the performance analysis of the underwater optical wireless channel in presence of ambient noise (sunlight and bioluminescence). Currently, she is working as Assistant professor in Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru.
