Mr. Sahil Hiralal Patil

Mr. Sahil Hiralal Patil is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronic and Communication Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru, India. He completed his M.Tech. in Embedded Systems from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jaipur, in 2025 and his B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University, Maharashtra, in 2019.
His research interests include Android malware detection, network traffic analysis, cybersecurity, and machine learning. He worked on a DRDO-sponsored project focused on identifying malicious application traffic using network behavior analysis and machine learning. He also contributed to research on blockchain security, hybrid malware analysis and threat intelligence service.
Mr. Patil has authored research papers presented at IEEE conferences, including the 16th International IEEE Conference on Computing, Communication and Networking Technologies (ICCCNT 2025).
He possesses practical experience with a variety of development and analysis tools, including Wireshark, FileZilla, and VS Code, and is proficient in C and Python. He has utilized TensorFlow, Keras, and OpenCV in machine learning and image processing projects and has implemented communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, and TCP/IP in embedded system development. During his academic tenure at MNIT Jaipur, he also served as a Teaching Assistant for Operating Systems laboratory sessions.
Mr. Patil is committed to advancing cybersecurity research and education through interdisciplinary work, academic mentoring, and applied research projects.
