Dr. Shirshendu Roy

Dr. Shirshendu Roy has received the B.E. and M.E. degrees in electronics and tele-communication engineering (ETC) from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, India, in 2010 and 2016, respectively. He was with Aditya Birla Group, CPP Automation Department, Hindalco Industries Ltd., Singrauli, India for four years. He has earned Ph. D degree from the department of ECE, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela. During the course of PhD, he was broadly researching in the area of VLSI Signal Processing. He has published 3 SCI international journals with reputed publishers like IEEE and IET. He also authored a reference book on Advanced Digital System Design. Several online tutorials on digital system design are authored by him. He also reviews journals for publishers like IEEE, IET, Springer etc.

His current research interest includes compressed sensing, FPGA based implementation of algorithms (signal, image or video processing algorithms, machine learning algorithms, artificial neural networks etc.), low-power architecture design, ASIC, application of FPGA for IoT applications.
