Assistant Professor

Smriti Bharti is working as an Assisstant Professor in Department of Computer Science, School of Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru. She has completed M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra and B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from JNNCE, Shivamogga affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University.

 She is well-versed in programming languages such as Python and C. She has a strong understanding of Database Management Systems (DBMS), Operating Systems (OS), Software Engineering, Web Development and User Interface Design (UID) with expertise in their principles, functionalities, and practical applications. Her research field is dedicated to Machine Learning.

She is dedicated to bridging the gap between academia and industry by applying theoretical concepts to real-world challenges, ensuring practical and impactful advancements in her field.

In hers Masters she worked on forest Fire and designed models for early prediction of the hazard. Additionally she worked on the classification of Remote Sensing Images using ML techniques through UC-Merced dataset.

Her academic goal is to contribute to cutting-edge research in Computer Science, particularly in emerging fields such as Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science. She aim to bridge theoretical advancements with practical applications, collaborating on interdisciplinary projects that address real-world challenges. Through mentorship and teaching, she strive to inspire students, fostering a research-driven mindset and equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in academia and industry.

Beyond her professional endeavors, she enjoys reading, coding personal projects, exploring emerging technologies, and playing football. These interests fuel her creativity, enhance her problem-solving skills, and keep her engaged in continuous learning. Her dynamic approach and passion for knowledge make her a valuable presence in both academic and professional settings.
