Mr. Souvik Ghosh
Assistant Professor
Mr. Souvik Ghosh is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) at the School of Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University. He holds an M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialization in Big Data Analytics from VIT Vellore, and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata.
Mr. Ghosh brings to academia a unique blend of industry experience and research acumen. He has previously worked as a Rust Data Engineer and Backend Developer, where he built high-throughput data pipelines and hybrid recommendation systems that significantly improved user engagement. His professional expertise spans classical and quantum machine learning, real-time analytics, and cloud-based deployment, with a strong command of Python, Rust, SQL, and PySpark.
His research interests include misinformation detection using Quantum Machine Learning, personalized recommendation systems, and the socio-economic impacts of education.
Beyond technical contributions, Mr. Ghosh has a strong commitment to science communication and public outreach. He has created a podcast and blog series aimed at improving scientific literacy, successfully simplifying complex topics for a broad audience. He has actively led workshops and literacy campaigns in collaboration with academic clubs and forums.
Mr. Ghosh has received recognition in diverse areas, including awards in creative writing and martial arts, and holds certifications in project management and data analytics. His interdisciplinary background and passion for mentoring make him an asset to both students and the academic community.
