Assistant Professor

Dr. Srimanta Maji is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, School of Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University since August 2023. Dr. Maji received his Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai on the thesis titled “Numerical Simulation of Laminar and Turbulent flows in Newtonian nanofluids for some practical problems”. His areas of interest in research include: Numerical Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow for Boundary Layer Flows, CFD Simulation of Stirred Tanks for turbulent flows, Optimization Techniques, Physics-Informed Neural Networks. He has 6 research papers and one book chapter in SCOPUS/SCI indexed journals and conferences.

Dr. Srimanta has more than 7 years of teaching experience at various reputed Government & Private institutes with A++ and A+ grades. He worked as an Assistant Professor at Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai-Marathawada, Campus, Jalna for 2 years. During his tenure at ICT, In addition to instructing Engineering Mathematics, he conducted Computer Lab- I, II, and III using Python and R including basic Statistical Simulation using R, Numerical simulation of some experiments of Processing Simulation Lab (PSL)-II, Research Methodology for Integrated MTech Chemical Engineering students. Further, he guided 2 Integrated MTech Chemical Engineering students for their In-Plant Training projects. With a passion in the teaching and research, he consistently inspires students for learning and to focus on projects and research works for enhancing their skills.
