Dr. K. Sudha Deepthi has completed her Ph.D. in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University in the area of Digital twins in Aeroservoelasticity and Natural Fiber Composites. She obtained her M.Tech in Aerospace Engineering from JNTU Hyderabad (IARE, Dundigal) and her B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from JNTU Anantapur.
She began her career as a Project Assistant at DRDL (Defence Research & Development Laboratory), Hyderabad, where she developed MATLAB codes for optimizing the trajectory of Air-to-Air missiles, particularly the AGNI missile project. She later worked as an Assistant Professor in Aeronautical Engineering at Institute of Aeronautical Engineering College and Mallareddy College of Engineering & Technology, Hyderabad, where she guided projects ranging from UG to PG levels in ANSYS, CATIA, and MATLAB. She also organized workshops such as AVIONICS SYSTEMS in collaboration with the Aeronautical Society of India.
At JNTUHCEH, she worked in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, where she initiated the establishment of a Centre of Excellence for Automation Technologies in collaboration with Bosch Rexroth, Germany. She earned the prestigious Certified Trainer credential from Bosch Rexroth Group in 2014 and has since conducted several certified training courses in Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Robotics, Mechatronics, Sensors, Programmable Logic Controllers, and Control Systems.
Her contributions include active participation in the RUSA Project (Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan) under MHRD, Government of India. At Dayananda Sagar University, she has over 10 years of experience and overall experience of 15 years in teaching, research, and industrial collaboration. She has conducted Faculty Development Programs, industrial certification programs, internships, and guided numerous student projects in Industrial Automation and Industry 4.0.
She was instrumental in bringing the NASA Space Apps Challenge Hackathon to DSU in 2018, serving as Local Lead in 2020 and continuing to mentor teams. She was also the Media Coordinator for Smart India Hackathon at DSU in 2018. She has published papers in reputed Journals, various national and international conferences and also presented her research work in abroad countries – The ASME International Conference in USA, The University of Oxford, UK also represented Dayananda Sagar University on global platform.
Currently, she serves as Assistant Professor – Department of Mechanical Engineering & Manager – Bosch Rexroth Innovation Lab at DSU.
She is a Life Member of the Aeronautical Society of India, a Professional Member of ASME- The American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
