Dr. Sumit Kumar Yadav

Assistant Professor

Dr. Sumit Kumar Yadav is currently working as an Assistant professor in Computer Science & Engineering (AI & ML) department at DSU, Bengaluru, Karnataka. He did his B.Tech in ECE specialization from Gautam Buddh Technical University (formely known as UPTU), Lucknow, U.P in 2010 and did his M.Tech in Bio-medical Signal Processing with ECE specialization from Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design & Manufacturing (IIITDM), Jabalpur, M.P in 2017. He earned his Ph.D. degree in Image processing using Deep Learning from the department of Electronics Engineering of Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi, U.P in 2024. He qualified the GATE in 2015 and received “Teaching Assistantship” fellowship during M.Tech and Ph.D. program from the MHRD, Government of India. He has more than twelve years teaching and research experiences from the reputated NITs, IIITs, and IITs. Before joining here, he has worked as an adhoc faculty in the department of Information Technology, National Institute of Technology, Surathkal, Karnataka. His research interests include image/video processing, Bio-medical signal processing, image dehazing, image denoising, and image restoration techniques. He is a member of IEEE Signal Processing Society. He has published many SCI/SCIE Q1 category level research papers in reputed journals and conferences.

He has been reviewer of IEEE Transaction on System, Man and Cybernetics and many IEEE Transactions and several leading journal of international repute. He has been received Student and early Researcher Conference fund of JPY 5000 in 2020 IEEE REGION 10 CONFERENCE (TENCON), Osaka, Japan, 2020.
